Cannabidiol Oil Around the City

One of the latest and greatest wellness trends to take over the city is Cannabidiol (CBD) oil. Also known as hemp oil, CBD oil contains cannabis extract and can be used to alleviate physical pain, stress and anxiety. It’s currently taking over the city by way of infused food and drinks. You may have first noticed this trend a few weeks back when Sweets by Chloe launched their Feelz collection, which featured an entire line of CBD infused pastries. These foods/drinks can be found on menus across the greater NYC area because of the many benefits of CBD oil. In addition to alleviating pain and anxiety, it also works as an anti-inflammatory agent and can even be used to treat sleeping problems!

Sweets by CHLOE

Location: 185 Bleecker St., New York, NY 10012

Hours: 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. daily

On Oct. 15, the vegan dessert shop Sweets by CHLOE officially added CBD infused desserts to their full-time menu following the massive success of their two week pop up in late September. All of their locations are now serving some of the menu items introduced in the pop-up, including the wildly popular “Daily Hit Brownie”,  “Rainbowey Chocolatey Cookey” and the “Chocolatey Sprinkley Cakey”. By CHLOE has always been a favorite of NYU students, vegans and non-vegans alike, so we can be sure that these new desserts live up to the hype. The “Daily Hit Brownie” is one of the best brownies I’ve ever had in the city.

The Butcher’s Daughter

The Butcher’s Daughter is a NYC brunch staple with guests raving about their smashed avocado toast and juices. As if this restaurant wasn’t already serving New Yorker favorites, it recently added CBD to the menu. At both of the locations, you can add CBD to any smoothie, coffee or wellness latte for $3. While all of their smoothies are fantastic, my favorite is definitely the fruity “Brazilian Blast Smoothie” which tastes like berry heaven.

As professors pile on the papers and exams, caffeine is pretty much the only thing keeping many of us going. If you’re looking to change up your typical Starbucks order and alleviate some stress, stop by Patent Coffee. You can add CBD oil to any drink on their menu for just $2. Plus, the shop sells 12 oz. CBD Cold Brew Bottles which are easy to grab when you’re in a rush to get to class or a meeting. Their  “S’mores Latte” is the perfect fall drink alternative to Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte.

Bubby’s

Location: 73 Gansevoort St., New York, NY 10014

120 Hudson St., New York, NY 10013

Hours: 8 a.m. - 11 p.m. daily

For students over 21 looking to get their CBD fix, the iconic Bubby’s is serving CBD infused cocktails. You can add CBD to any drink on their menu for $6 or try a drink from their CBD cocktails menu which averages at $20 per drink. Though Bubby’s can be pricey, it is constantly frequented by celebrities and serves up delicious comfort food on top of having one of the few CBD cocktail menus in the city.
