NYU London: Glossier Pop-Up Shop
For one week in November, Glossier turned a house in London’s West End into a dreamy pop-up shop filled with baby’s breath and minimalist makeup.
If you’ve been wondering what beauty bloggers have been using to achieve the ever-classic no-makeup makeup look, the answer is probably Glossier. Their website is full of light-weight makeup that, with its millennial pink packaging, is aesthetically pleasing and good for your skin. The only downside is that you can’t swatch it before you buy it online. However, in their pop-ups and showrooms, you can shop to your hearts content!
Glossier’s two-story London pop-up brought their website to life with flowers hanging on every available surface, light and airy rooms full of all their products and girls in pink jumpsuits waiting to help you find exactly what you were looking for. Once you decided, you told an employee who would send your order to the stockroom so that it was waiting in the classic pink packaging once you were ready to leave.
There were two floors and three show rooms: two for makeup and one for Glossier’s fragrance line, as well as a plush staircase and a sitting room made for perfect Instagram shots. The cutest part was the full-length mirrors with friendly phrases on them – perfect for a confidence-boosting selfie!
Unfortunately, the London pop-up has closed, but the New York store at 123 Lafayette is equally adorable, so be sure to check it out when you return. Until then, I’ll have to make do with online shopping for my favorite products.
