Totally Trendy Thanksgiving | 5 Outfits to Wear this Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is really the best time of the year. It epitomizes the fall season ( and who doesn’t love fall?), unofficially kicks off the winter holiday season, and gives us all a very much needed break from school. We all want to relax and be comfortable on Thanksgiving Day, but that doesn’t mean we need to sacrifice style. Here is some outfit inspiration for the upcoming holiday:

1. The Sweater Dress

The sweater dress is one of the most comfortable, yet put together outfits you can wear in the winter time. It’s so easy to have a whole outfit in one garment. Get a chunky knit one with a turtleneck for that cozy chic look.

2. Stylish Sleepwear

For those of us who have very casual Thanksgiving celebrations with our family or friends, take this as a chance to relax and wear sweatpants (you know if you go to NYU this is a more rare opportunity than it is at other colleges). Try a knit co-ord with a cute robe to feel put-together even if you’re wearing pajamas.

3. Faux Fur Vest with Basics

Step up your classic turtleneck and jeans ensemble with a luxe faux fur vest. Help elevate your everyday casual look just in time for the holiday season. A faux fur vest is a great investment piece for the winter season–it goes with almost any outfit!

4. Printed Shirt

To get into the holiday spirit, add some print to your wardrobe (like this amazing sweater here) before ugly Christmas sweaters make their annual comeback. Pair it with a faux leather jacket and some tailored trousers for an edgy yet sophisticated look.

5. Sweater and Skirt Separates

Combine more put-together pieces (such as this moto skirt) with more oversized pieces to play with proportions in a stylish way. Cozy sweaters and skirts are a classic chic combo that you can definitely wear no matter how you celebrate Thanksgiving!

As we count down the days until Thanksgiving break, remember to be thankful for everyone in your life this holiday season. Stay cozy and chic!
